Follow these steps to ensure you enjoy seasonal strawberries at their optimum:
1. Remove strawberries from the refrigerator 30 minutes before serving.
2. Wash strawberries under cold running water and pat dry with paper towels. Never wash the strawberries after you have hulled or cut them, as the water will get into their flesh and makes them watery.
3. Use a small knife to cut a circle around the leafy top (the hull) into the flesh underneath.
4. Remove and discard the hulls. Either serve the strawberries whole or slice as desired.
