Welcome to my blog, life’s a feast! As the name implies, my philosophy is that cooking and eating should be highly pleasurable activities and here you will find recipes, food ideas, seasonal produce guides, tips and hints and culinary inspiration – all designed to bring joy into cooking. Whether it is a week-night family meal, a formal dinner party, a backyard barbeque or a cocktail reception, my blog aims to provide inspiration and make cooking a pleasurable experience for you.

A bit about my background: I am a self-taught cook who is passionate about food and cooking.   I own and operate a boutique cooking school in beautiful Noosa on Queensland’s Sunshine Coast, also called life’s a feast. We offer 10 different cooking class themes, from Pasta Making and Cocktail Food to Barbequing and Asian.  Our classes are hands-on and utilise excellent fresh, quality, local produce that is readily available.  I also run intimate guided tours of the popular Noosa Farmers Market.

I believe that cooking should be a joy, not a chore, and my objective is for you to derive pleasure from cooking and eating.  My blog promises to provide plenty of culinary inspiration to have you looking forward to spending time in the kitchen. My recipes have been developed to be low effort yet have a high “wow” factor, and are all designed to be easy to follow and prepare, so you will easily be able to recreate them in your own kitchen.

I also have a Facebook page and publish a free monthly newsletter, both of which provide additional culinary inspiration.

I hope you enjoy my blog, and that it contributes to making cooking a joyous and rewarding experience for you. I look forward to your comments and shared experiences.

Happy cooking and eating!
