In The Community
We at Life’s A Feast care about our beautiful Noosa community and environment, and are grateful to be able to contribute to it in various ways, including:
- Supporter, volunteer and advocate of OzHarvest and sharing of their message to reduce food waste
- Supporting and promoting our local producers, suppliers and the Noosa Farmers Market, and using local and seasonal produce wherever possible
- We are Noosa Eco-Check certified – see our case study video. In our effort to protect and preserve Noosa’s unique natural assets, our initiatives include:
- solar panels to reduce carbon footprint
- water tank to irrigate gardens
- use of home-grown and local produce in our cooking classes
- waste management and diligent recycling
- composting to reduce landfill and naturally fertilise our gardens
- use of eco-friendly cleaning products
- advocate of Plastic Free Noosa
- Supporter and regular segment on local community radio station Noosa FM
- Complimentary teaching of Cooking Classes to members of Noosa Men’s Shed
- Donating Cooking Class Gift Vouchers to local and national Community and Not-For Profit Organisations for their Fund Raisers and Charity Auctions
