I attended “An audience with Margaret Fulton & friends” last night at the State Library of NSW. Affectionately known as “Australia’s Living National Treasure” Margaret Fulton is truly an extraordinary woman. Aged 84, she displayed humour, clarity and inspiration during the panel discussion.
This new Australian food magazine, based on the British version, is a great read for foodies, keen cooks and anyone who enjoys eating. Released last month, BBC Australian Good Food Magazine is packed with recipes, articles and food advice. Gordon Ramsay and Kylie Kwong are two of the contributing celebrity chefs.
One of my favourite and most used books in my vast cookbook collection is The Food Substitutions Bible , by David Joachim. This practicle book provides substitutions for just about any ingredient, which makes it an invaluable resource if you are in the middle of cooking a dish and realise that you are out of something.
