Yesterday marked entertaining made easy’s first blogiversary. The past twelve months for me has seen many dishes cooked, many photos taken and many meals consumed.  It’s been a culinary whirlwind and lots of fun!

Thank you to my loyal readers -  because of you I am encouraged and inspired to keep writing about food and entertaining.  I hope my recipes, articles and helpful hints have been useful and have motivated you to entertain.  And please keep leaving comments – positive or constructive, they are all welcome.

the dinner party is not dead!

Over the past few weeks I have read a number of articles from various sources stating that the dinner party is making a comeback. After it took a nosedive in the 90’s, home entertaining appears to be alive and well. The general consensus seems to be that this is due largely to the economic downturn, but also that people are enjoying purchasing from the ever-expanding available selection of quality produce to impress their guests.
